Sorry to say that I am falling behind. Perhaps I was a tad ambitious to expect to blog each day? Discovered that some internet connections are definitely worse than others and makes our picture uploading trying to say the least! When life slows down a little, perhaps I can catch up.
Today we drove down from Nashville to Montgomery. Our original plan was to visit with Greg Thompson in Madison/Huntsville. However, he is away on family vacation himself. Then our hope was to visit with Sally Corby in Nashville. That didnt work out. We wanted to see a fort, it was closed. Then we planned to go to check out some caves in Tennessee, but realized they were not even close to our route. Then we stopped in Birmingham for lunch and to see the Jazz Hall of Fame, but it was closed for the 4th weekend. Then we wanted to catch some friends in Montgomery, but they were away....argh....things need to be flexible I guess.
So we called our friends Mike and Sallie and bought some food and had a BBQ by their pool and caught up big time. The kids loved their place and swimming in the pool till after dark. It was a great night. We let go of all that didnt work and embraced that which did.
God is in the present moment and we are challenged to find him in it. Thank you for another great day!
